For the past 15 years I have been involved in the Entertainment and Film Industry... there is a saying on set "Hurry up and wait!".
Well that is where it all started. Up before dawn, horses and team on the road, on set ready to go...... hmmmm "Hurry up and wait!". In the meantime, out comes the camera, images, images and more images.
Yes that was the start and from then on I have never looked back!
So I set about taking classes, watching tutorials, videos, picking the brains of many a photographer, experimenting and just taking the plunge. I started out with a very basic 2nd hand kit, then revamped to a slightly better 2nd hand kit - to now almost my "bucket list" kit... maybe someday I will get there! But it seems that with photography, there always seems to be that transition and constant learning that keeps you on your toes.
Photography has sent me to places in the world that I would never of thought to experience, met unbelievable people and made life long friendships. Photography also has given me the motivation to forever learn, excel and create.
It still amazes me how you can look thru that little viewfinder, change a few buttons and then create an image totally amazing... and sometimes not so amazing, therein the area for improvement. But that is all the fun and the challenge.
I don't know about you but I'm up for it!
